California 89

California 89 represents everything we love about the Sierra’s – the mountains, lakes, rivers, and parks.  All of these natural landscapes allow for world class hiking, biking, skiing/boarding, paddling, boating, golf and tennis.  We live in an outdoor adventure wonderland and California 89 hopes to inspire you to get out and enjoy every minute of this amazing place.

Founder Lisa Gotts grew up loving the outdoors and always made being active a priority.  After a great corporate career in big cities the time came for a change, a more personal dream, so she opened California 89 in 2012. The brand continues to grow; always striving to remain fresh and relevant to fellow Sierra lovers.

Truly a family business – design and branding is done by Square One Design – her sister’s company.  In 2017 Lisa’s son Ethan joined California 89 full time and has become an integral partner.  Additionally, her daughter Bella helps out in store and as a California 89 Ambassador.
